When the microphone is placed in the flow field, turbu- lence is generated on the surface, resulting in unneces- sary pressure changes on the diaphragm.
If the airflow sound comes from one direction, using a nose cone can keep these pressure changes as faraway from the diaphragm as possible.
The nose cone is suitable for 1/2 and 1/4 inch micro- phones.
